Cycles 06:54
Like clockwork, cycles running through my life. They are not defined by time, like clockwork. How much am I actually in control of the instances and the frequency of these cycles? I even catch myself going down, routes I know are not good for me. But even the slightest chance to reach the silver lining in the clouds. Makes the effort seem worth it, another cycle’s created. But should the cycles be broken?

Homebound II 04:30
They said I’ll die, but I won’t cry. Only two weeks, they said. I miss you and our son from the bottom of my deep black soul. I count all the bodies, while straying through killing fields. Building walls. Maybe I’ll die, but I won’t cry. We’re homebound, returning to our roots. It won’t take long to find the ones to blame. We’re homebound, returning to our roots. It won’t take long. I still firmly believe in a good end. Cuts are deep, scars will remain. I tend to wait until death. I tried to evade, no options, no light, no hope. Just borders, hate and tears. Pain ist deep, more traumas to come.

Bury 06:06
Loved you once long ago. Loved you hard, don’t you know? I wish you well and I’ll try to not look you in the eyes. I smiled and said yes, you were right, then went home and cried all night. But when we meet once for my sake. Loved you deep all these days, loved you honestly, now I stray. I wish you well, but please leave today, there’s no future anyway. She smiled and said yes, you are right, then went home and raised pure hate. But when we meet once for my sake, I’ll not tell her how hearts break. I smiled and said yes, you were right, then went home and cried all night. But when we meet once for my sake. We are still moving on? We still tear each other apart? We still won’t bury this? We still won’t bury this. Loved you once long ago. Loved you hard, don’t you know? I wish you well but I crawl.

Bitter Tears 09:06
Last night, I remember in that dark and lonely time. People who travelled on my life’s mainline. I have seen these things before, learnt to cry the bitter tears. Learnt to forget the pleasures, learnt to expect the fears. Last year, I remember in that dark and lonely time. Friends and lovers freed of your demons. Last night, I remember in that dark and lonely time. No more harming. No more pantomime. I have travelled this path before, seen both the good and the bad. Seen the nights through all alone, learnt to expect the sad. I have said these things before but have done them all again. I never seem to learn, I always get the pain. Get the pain.

Jungle Eyes 08:12
I have seen these things before, learnt to cry the bitter tears, care about the sweet now. Learnt to forget the pain, now used to live the pleasures. Learnt to expect the fears, these are your demons, I don’t care. I don’t care for your demons. I’ve travelled all these paths again, seen all the good, trusting all the bads. seen the nights through all alone, souls by my side, looking through jungle eyes. All I built up between me and myself in that dark and lonely time. Souls by my side, cycles gone, I fly, looking through jungle eyes.

Coals 07:30
Was anyone close enough? Did anyone hold your hands? All you were giving was ripped from your hands. Did you know the dream was over? Did you feel it slipped away? We all knew where you were from. It’s over. Now the coals fall from fire and the night grows cold. I miss your arms, your sighs, your eyes. Our young love has now grown old. You showed up as a fairy, in the end it’s just soil.
8.
Hate 02:41
Too many times I played life blindly, too many times I heard the lies. Too many times you were unkind, but I thought love was in your eyes. Too many nights I cried alone, I often wanted to die. So how long have you been there? And now you just hate me?
9.
Still I Am 05:27
Too many times I played life blindly, too many times I heard the lies. Too many times you were unkind, but I thought love was in your eyes. Too many nights I cried alone, I often wanted to die. So how long have you been there? And now you just hate me? You buried me deep, I was forlorn, at last you’re gone. Still getting stronger, so there’s nothing left to harm. There’s nothing left to mourn. Still I am here. Still I am.
10.
Driftwood 06:53
When you tumble, when you float, consumed by waves, rinsed off all past. Shaped by tides, carried for miles and miles and miles, a core deeply uprooted from all soil, unthinkable where the origin of this lays. All I see is driftwood, let yourself be washed ashore, only to be consumed again, and carried somewhere else. When you stumble, when you fall, and you look at your wounds, but you can't tell them apart. Which is the most recent one? What is wounds, what is scars, what is bones? What is your skin, or what is just you? Grown in one place and piece, but all marks washed away. Grown in one place and piece, but all marks washed away. Burnt from sand and salt and sun, but yet the same grown wretch. „Something we generally seek is happiness. But for decades more and more people are becoming lonely or lose themselves. Research has shown that resilient people tend to be happier than the average person; better relationships, higher life satisfaction, less hopelessness, less anxiety and depression. The ability of self healing and coping with personal crisis is getting more and more important, especially in our society, driven by performance and appearance. I assume we all want to be happy. So, it seems there is hope for people that are resilient. But what does that mean to the rest of us?“

about

The Swiss collective Posthumanbigbang surrounding mastermind Remo Häberli enters the new decade with its signature mix of experimental and post metal, progressive rock and film scoring with dips of atmospheric synths and native world music. It’s a melting pot of fragile melodies, hard-hitting tunes, sophisticated and honest lyrics, versatile vocals and full steam drumming.

Originally founded in 2009 by Remo and his brother Patrick Häberli they went on a short hiatus as a band after their first release back in 2012 (Subversiv Records, CH). The self titled album caused quite some uproar in Switzerland as well as critical acclaim across Europe. Besides writing music Remo Häberli is a well-known producer in the Swiss underground scene. He has put his heart and soul into producing records of household names like Unhold, Chelsea Deadbeat Combo, E-L-R, Horace, Hot Running Blood and Nihilo, besides working for other artists and bands in his own studio and for film and broadcast industries in sound departments.

But Posthumanbigbang had stayed always in the back of Remo’s mind. After three years in the making the sophomore album “Jungle Eyes” is finally ready to see the light of day. While for the first release, the creation of the music was carried out in a more collective approach, the second output is a brain- and heartchild mostly coming from Remo. Eleven Songs tell you his story about coping a crisis in life and pushing through, about native rituals and getting resilient as a human being.

Supported by all original members plus seven great guest musicians on this unfathomable record - especially to highlight Mike Liechti’s incredible drum work - and covered by an astonishing Artwork by Philipp Thöni (BlackYard), “Jungle Eyes” will show its audience a gripping journey of life.

After this long process of intense work in writing, recording and producing the music, the result is a magnum opus with an astounding level of depth, density and range, focusing on strong emotions and elaborate sonority.
